Rota-Loo certified to AS/NZS 1546.2 On-site domestic wastewater treatment units – Waterless Composting Toilets. All states and territories of Australia require that a WCT meets AS/NZS1546.2:2008, but each has different departments, rules, and conditions which guide the local authorities.
Your local council assessor will require you to see product certificate OMK30059 in the support letter as part of your application to install an onsite waste treatment system.
As a composting toilet, Chief Executive Approval (CEA) is not required under Section 91 of the Queensland Plumbing and Drainage Act 2002.
You will need to refer to the installation manual to ensure that site plans submitted with the application cater to the Rota-Loo model of your choice.
